Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia casinos that reside just over the dividing line from next door Thailand, in which gambling hall wagering is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are situated in a relatively small space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in a prime destination, a three to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai laborers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing income acquired from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over 12.5 million, and there are a number of restrictions constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; however, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are formally open from 0900 to 17:00, and although visas are allegedly necessary to pass, there are ways around this, as is real of most borders.

The original Cambodia gambling halls opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just one gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored boat gambling den, highlights one hundred and fifty slots and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling den is open all hours with forty two tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The first casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon opened. A total of 150 one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 one armed bandits and 70 tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and 96 table games, including 87 punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the normal table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling dens in Poipet, also a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around resort and hotel building that highlights many conveniences on top of the gambling den, which provides ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and eighty eight gaming tables.
